  • Exeter was the Revolutionary War time capital for the state of New Hampshire.

  • Exeter is the birthplace of the designer and sculptor of the Lincoln Statue (Lincoln Memorial), Daniel Chester French.

  • Exeter welcomed the 1st arrival of the Declaration of Independence to the state of New Hampshire.

  • Exeter is home to the Exeter UFO Festival based on the "Incident at Exeter", a sighting in 1965 verified by local police.
